Second Life® sure is a great platform for creativity. Every so often, we stumble over something truly remarkable. I had the privilege of getting a little sneak peek at an undisclosed location of an upcoming adventure hunt by Midian Farspire and Craig Theseus. Midian is well known for his amazing builds and elaborate scripting that lets his adventurous Second Life hunts come alive – of course always including a story tale. For this epic hunt he teamed up with Craig who is also an established high-end scripter.
This new brainchild is about the House of Emmerich, an old and forgotten lycan and vampire family. They had been powerful in their days, hundreds of years ago. After they followed their fate to oblivion, their treasures were buried under tombs and rubble. The treasure is patiently awaiting the best treasure hunters to unveil and solve all the hidden secrets, puzzles and riddles. But beware! Midian’s hunts always have hidden dangers lurking behind the castle entry point shown on the picture.
In order to play, adventurous treasure hunters will buy the inexpensive Emmerich HUD. It is easy to use and it will leave the focus on the player’s creativity to solve the riddles and to prevail in the adventures.
For those still looking for motivation to participate other than fun: Midian and his team are donating towards a cancer research charity from the proceeds of this hunt. I think it is a wonderful thing. Enjoying a fun SL adventure and helping those who so desperately need our help is truly a win-win situation. Gothic/vampyric store owners who would like to participate, particularly becoming a hunt location and donating hunt items, can contact Midian Farspire directly.
