Wild Orchid 1Orchids are beautiful and elegant flowers. They bloom in vast variations and are easily distinguishable in nature. But it is when they go on the ‘Wild’ side that beauty and elegance are best expressed, and there is a much more intimate element involved.

Ladies and Gentleman, this is Wild Orchid.

Created by SuzanneMichelle, Wild Orchid has blossomed on the face of Second Life and is a force to be noticed. But like all of us, it had humble beginnings. “I spent much time exploring and looking at the different creations in SL. More than anything, seeing how many wonderful things people had created in Second Life is what really made my interest grow,” said SuzanneMichelle.

Sometimes we fiddle around with a bunch of ideas in our minds before those creative juices really start to flow. “There are just so many talented people out there with some very good designs. I had doubt I guess for some time about whether or not people would enjoy wearing something I had made.” Once set in motion, that’s when the fun begins. “After sharing some of what I had created with friends and receiving their input, that is what gave me the confidence to move beyond just creating for myself.”

To make a brand successful, you must first work from the bottom up. “To create the Wild Orchid brand, I had to first decide what types of styles would appeal to the most people while still feeling they were all an expression still of me and what I believe to be stylish. After that, much coffee and many late nights on the PC.” We have to keep in mind though that if we want to go into the direction of fashion to always keep it fresh and UNIQUE. “There are just so many talented people out there with some very good designs.”

While going over some of the creations she has, I knew from the beginning that I definitely wanted what I was seeing in her collection. “With that said, when you wear a Wild Orchid gown, you should be able to see and feel a sense of sexiness or expression of sensuality while still upholding the class, style and elegance that is inside every one of us.”

I even got the chance to speak to her live model, Annamaria Manatiso, to hear more about her thoughts of the brand. “To me, I thought she had a unique and individual style not just her clothing but her Brand period. I loved that her style combined a romantic sensual look while remaining elegant. I do believe Suzanne has an eye for the use of texturing and color, as well as, an amazing eye for detail. Her detailing is so finely done… not too much and just enough and is unique to her designs,” Manatiso said.

Manatiso also was pleased to mention what it was like working for such a driven woman like SuzanneMichelle. “She truly has taught me so much in a short time. She saw me as more than just an in-store model and has given me much insight to the business side of fashion. I have found it exciting and compelling to be involved as I learn and grow in the business.”

The world of fashion is ever changing, morphing and transforming. If we wish to keep up, we have to keep our heads above water and always be on top of whats in and making sure we are always evolving just as the world of fashion is evolving. “I simply would like to thank all of those who’ve shared their love and support and those who’ve chosen Wild Orchid. I understand there are many choices in SL, but choosing Wild Orchid truly means the world to me and I am both humbled and grateful to those who have.” Manatiso echo’s her boss in a similar insight. “We truly believe in a team effort and as Suzanne says we are willing to help in any way to insure success… your success is our success and vice versa. Wild Orchid feels personal customer service and prompt attention make all the difference in the world in good relations.”
